Physical Education at Trinity

Physical education at Trinity is an elective program designed to satisfy a variety of individual student needs. Classes are designed to enhance health and physical fitness while also fulfilling recreational and leisure-time interests.

Trinity does not offer a physical education major and physical education is not mandatory. However, Trinity offers academic credit for physical education. Classes are offered on a quarterly schedule and graded on a pass/fail basis.  Upon successful completion of a physical education class, students earn 0.25 credits.  Students may earn up to a maximum of 1.0 credit over four years.

Physical education classes vary from quarter to quarter, and they are offered on a coeducational basis. Classes are offered at one or two levels (beginning and intermediate), which allows students to customize a physical education program that meets their individual interests and needs.
