Trinity Winter Student-Athletes Earn NESCAC All-Academic Honors

Hartford, Conn. – The Trinity College winter athletic teams placed 64 student-athletes on the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) 2017 Winter All-Academic Team, as announced by the league on Thursday.  To be honored, an individual must have reached sophomore academic standing and be in good standing on their team with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.40. A transfer student must have completed one year of study at the institution.

Of the 939 student-athletes named to the team, 288 were honored for the second time in their career, while 212 were recognized for the third time. In addition, 55 members of the group garnered both All-Academic and All-NESCAC accolades this winter, led by 14 student-athletes from Williams. A total of 31 individuals were named to both the All-Sportsmanship and All-Academic Teams by the conference. Five individuals were selected to all three squads, including Trinity junior men's squash player Omar Allaudin (Lahore, Pakistan).
