Monete Johnson

Women's outdoor track and field sophomore thrower Monete Johnson came in fifth place in the shot put with a throw of 39'00.50", helping the Bantams come in 11th place as a team in the New England Division III Championships.  Johnson earns All-New England honors for her performance.  The throw was a career-high for Johsnonk, who is also Trinity's top competitor in the hammer throw with a season- and career-best heave of 116'06" this spring.  She has nine top-ten finishes in the shot put in 2008-09, and was third in the hammer throw this spring at the Coast Guard Invitational.  Johnson, who also played squash for the Bantams as a freshman, is a graduate of John D. O'Bryant High School in Boston.
