May 4, 2009 Novice Eight Men's Crew Trinity's first novice eight men's crew won the grand final of the New England Rowing Championships on Lake Quinsigamond. The Bantams posted a time of 6:15.186, which was over eight seconds faster than Division I New Hampshire. The performance helped the Bantams capture the New England Overall Points Trophy title. Trinity's novice eight finished 5-1 in dual races this spring, and will close its season in the ECAC National Invitational Regatta this weekend in Camden, N.J. The members of the boat are Alex Karwoski, Jonathan Poole, Alex Yoel, Graham Skinner, Vincent McLaughlin, Henry Fitts, Greg Magarian, Brandon Taaffe, and coxswain Anna Birnbaum.
