Norton, Mass. – The visiting Trinity College Bantams lost, 11-5, against the Wheaton College Lyons in baseball action this afternoon at Sidell Stadium. Trinity falls to 14-9 with its first loss in five games, while No. 10-ranked Wheaton improves to 17-6.

Hartford, Conn. - Trinity College senior tri-captain C/1B Kevin Mortimer (Spencer, Mass.) was selected to the Capitol One Academic All-District Baseball Team. The 2012 Capital One Academic All‐District Baseball Teams, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America, recognize the nation’s top student‐athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom. Capital One became the entitlement rights holder to CoSIDA’s Academic All America teams programs in 2011.

Winter Haven, Fla. - The Trinity College Bantam baseball team opened the day with their third straight shutout and closed it with a 15-5 exclamation point against the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth Corsairs at Chain O’Lakes Park today to give them four wins in a row. The wins give Trinity Head Coach Bill Decker 500 wins as the Bantam Head Coach. He is currently 500-223 in his career at Trinity and 508-246 in his career overall.
