Trinity Baseball Announces 2018 Schedule

Hartford, Conn. – Trinity College Baseball Head Coach Bryan Adamski (5th season) has announced his team's schedule for the upcoming 2018 season, which features the Bantams annual spring break trip, this year to Lexington, S.C. for the first time, and 13 games in front of their home crowd at Murren Family Field at DiBenedetto Stadium. In total, the baseball team will take to the field 36 times, highlighted by 12 contests within the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) East Division. Trinity finished last year's campaign with a 22-14 record, its highest win total since the spring of 2012 when the Bantams were crowned NESCAC Champions.

For the first time in program history, the Bantams will begin their campaign in Lexington, S.C. where they will play a total of eight games from March 11th to the 17th before returning to New England. The squad kicks things off on the 11th with a single game against Case Western Reserve before a doubleheader the following day (3/12) versus Rochester and Roger Williams. On March 13th, Trinity will battle Cortland State before an off-day on Wednesday, March 14th. On the 15th, the Bantams return to the diamond for another game against Roger Williams before a rematch against Case Western the following day (3/16). The Bantams conclude their trip with a twinbill on March 17th against Roger Williams and Case Western. 

Upon returning to New England, the Bantams open at home on the 20th against in-state non-conference opponent Eastern Connecticut State. Trinity then travels to Brandies (3/22) followed by Westfield State for a pair of games (3/24), before returning home to host Salve Regina (3/27). The team begins NESCAC East play on the road at Tufts University beginning with a single game on Friday, March 30th, couple with Saturday's doubleheader (3/31). 

The Bantams begin the month of April with a mid-week contest at Dean College (4/4) before returning to Hartford for a weekend divisional series with the Polar Bears of Bowdoin (4/6-7). On April 8th, Trinity welcomes NESCAC West opponent Middlebury to town before traveling north to Williamstown, Mass. where they will face another inter-divisional opponent in the Williams College Ephs on April 10th. Trinity travels to Colby on Friday, April 13th and Saturday, April 14th for a three-game series against Colby. The Bantams then take their talents to New London for a mid-week showdown versus Mitchell College (4/17) before hosting Bates in a pivotal NESCAC West series, beginning on Friday the 20th and concluding with a doubleheader the following day (4/21). Trinity wraps up its April slate with a home game against Western New England on April 24th and a two-game set on the road at Amherst on April 28th. 

Trinity closes out its regular season schedule with a May 1st home tilt versus the Rams of Framingham State, followed by a contest at Union the following day (5/2). As is tradition, the Bantams final day of the regular season features a doubleheader with NESCAC West rival Wesleyan, this year at home.
