Late Goal Keeps Trinity Field Hockey Perfect

Hartford, Conn. -   Sophomore Christy Bradley (Wellesley, Mass.) scored the game winning goal with 3:03 remaining on the clock, giving the Trinity College Bantams a 3-2 win against the Colby College Mules this afternoon at Robin L. Sheppard Field.  Senior co-captain Karli Del Rossi (Mantua, N.J.) led the team with two goals, improving Trinity's undefeated record to 5-0, while the Mules dropped to 1-3 on the season.

Colby freshmen Heather Quadir (Medfield, Mass.) opened the scoring in the first half with a great tip off a shot by junior Jevan Jammal (Arlington, Mass.) from the right side of Trinity's net.  Del Rossi tied the game three minutes later with an unassisted goal. Colby's Meryl Poulin (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) answered, ending the half with the Mules leading 2-1.

Del Rossi scored her second goal of the game early in the second half with help from Bradley, again putting the Mules and Bantams at a deadlock.  The game remained tied until junior Carrie Wolcott (Hamilton, Mass.) assisted Bradley's game winning goal, sealing the Bantams 3-2 victory.

Trinity sophomore goalkeeper Payden Sra (Pewaukee, Wisc.) made 10 saves and Colby first-year goalkeeper Liz Fontaine (Wilbraham, Mass.) made five saves in the game.
