Trinity Field Hockey Shuts Out Mass.-Dartmouth
North Dartmouth, Mass. - Junior forward Robyn Williams (Bulawayo, Zimbabwe) tallied a goal and an assist to lead the visiting Trinity College Bantams to a 2-0 win over the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth Corsairs in field hockey action this evening. Trinity, ranked No. 5 in the nation, improves to 10-0 to match last season's start as the Bantams' best since 1998. The Corsairs fall to 8-5.
Trinity took a 1-0 lead with 7:06 remaining in the first half. Senior forward Carrie Wolcott (Hamilton, Mass.) followed up a shot by Williams and scored to put the Bantams on the board. Williams scored the second and final goal of the game on a shot from the goal line with 9:15 remaining. The Bantams out shot the Corsairs, 17-11. Sophomore goalkeeper Gina Dinallo (West Hartford, Conn.) made six saves for Trinity.
