Bradley Hat Trick Pushes Trinity Field Hockey Past Wellesley

Wellesley, Mass. - The visiting Trinity College Bantam field hockey team defeated the Wellesley College Blue, 5-1, this afternoon.  The win keeps Trinity, ranked No. 15 in the nation, undefeated at 3-0, while the Blue even their record to 2-2.

Trinity took the lead in the eighth minute of play, after freshman Alanna Capasso (Weston, Mass.) stole the ball and junior forward Robyn Williams (Bulawayo, Zimbabwe) advanced it to the corner and launched a rocket passed the Blue keeper for a 1-0 Bantam lead.  Williams scored again at 20:57, this time off on an assist from classmate Christy Bradley (Wellesley, Mass.).  Bradley scored a goal of her own at the 27-minute mark, and added another tally in the final six minutes of the half.

Wellesley broke through in the scoring column with 14 minutes to play, when first-year Allison Robbins (North Bennington, Vt.) scored after a scramble in front of the net.  The goal, her first career collegiate score, cut the Trinity lead to 4-1.  The Bantams added one more goal in the contest, when Bradley scored on a rebounded shot to complete her hat trick.  In goal for Trinity, sophomore Gina Dinallo (West Hartford, Conn.) picked up six saves, while Wellesley's Sarina Sawyer (Wilmette, Ill.) also made six stops.
