Trinity Field Hockey Survives Scare Against Colby For Fifth Straight Win

Hartford, Conn. – Junior forward Hadley Duncan (Rye, N.Y.) scored the game's only goal from senior captain forward Caroline Snite (Philadelphia, Pa.) with 1:01 left in overtime to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 1-0 victory over the visiting Colby College Mules in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) field hockey action this afternoon on Sheppard Field.  Trinity, ranked No. 14 in the nation improves to 6-1 overall and 5-1 in the NESCAC with its fifth consecutive win, while Colby falls to 1-5 with its eighth loss to the Bantams in a row.

Trinity rattled off 20 shots while holding Colby to six and none before halftime, and held an 11-4 edge in penalty corners.  Sophomore Michelle Burt (Woodbridge, Conn.) kept the game tied with 12 saves in the Colby cage, while Bantam senior captain goalkeeper Gina Dinallo (West Hartford, Conn.) had four stops in a shutout performance.
