    Medford, Mass. - The No. 12-ranked Trinity College field hockey team dropped a 3-1 matchup at No. 2-ranked Tufts University on Sunday afternoon at Ounjian Field. The Bantams fall to 1-3 overall and 0-3 in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) play while the Jumbos improve to 3-1 on the year and 3-0 in conference play. Trinity returns to action on Saturday, September 23, for a NESCAC game in Maine against Colby College.

The Bantams fall to 1-1 after the setback while Williams begins the season 1-0. Trinity returns to action next Saturday when it hosts Hamiton at 11 a.m. at Sheppard Field.

Trinity, ranked No. 10 in the country, starts the year 1-0 while the Pioneers fall to 1-2 after the setback. The Bantams return to action on Saturday at noon when they host Williams College in both teams' New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) opener.
