Trinity Field Hockey Hosts NESCAC Final Four This Weekend, Opens Against Defending Champs

Hartford, Conn., Nov. 5, 2009 - The top-seeded Trinity College Bantams, which won against No. 8-seeded Connecticut College, 2-1, on Sunday to improve to 14-1, its best record since starting out 15-0 in 1997, in the quarterfinals of the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Championship Tournament, will host the NESCAC Semifinals and Finals for the first time on Robin L. Sheppard Field on Saturday, November 7 and Sunday, November 8.

Hartford, Conn. – Senior tri-captain Molly Malloy (Stamford, Conn.) scored the game’s only goal and sophomore Emily Vitale (Cheshire, Conn.) earned a shutout in the cage with seven saves to lead the visiting Amherst College Lord Jeffs to a 1-0 victory over the Trinity College Bantams in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) regular season finale for both teams this afternoon on Sheppard Field.

Trinity Field Hockey Hosts Amherst Friday With Undefeated Regular Season On The Line

Hartford, Conn., Oct. 28, 2009 - The Trinity College field hockey team, which has a record of 13-0 and has clinched its first-ever No.1 seed in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Championship Tournament, will try for an undefeated regular season when the Bantams host league rival Amherst College on Friday, Oct. 30 at 4 p.m.





The Bantams, coached by Anne Parmenter, regularly participate in postseason play, having racked up an extraordinary winning record over the past two decades. The team has been to five NCAA Championship Tournaments, twice to the Final Four, and has competed in the NESCAC Championship Tourney four of the last five years.
