Trinity's Pangburn Selected To NESCAC All-Academic Squad For Men's Basketball

Hartford, Conn., July 29, 2009 - Trinity College men's basketball senior Aaron Pangburn (Norwich, Vt.) was named to the 2009 New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Winter All-Academic Team. Each student-athlete selected to the NESCAC All-Academic Team must be starter or key reserve for a varsity team and maintain at least a 3.35 grade-point average.
Trinity finished the season with a record of 9-15 and tied Bates for sixth place in the NESCAC at 4-5 under first year head coach Sean Tabb. The team lost at Amherst in the quarterfinal round of the NESCAC Championship Tournament, 80-66.
Pangburn played in eight games as a backup guard in 2008-09, scoring six points. He closes his three years as a Bantam with 17 points in 21 games. An alum of Hanover High School in New Hampshire, Pangburn graduated from Trinity in May with a degree in political science. He is the son of Amy Somerstein and Tim Pangburn.
