Sean Tabb, a 1999 graduate of the University of
Hartford, enters his second season as the men's basketball coach
after leading the Bantams to the NESCAC Championship Tournament in
his first season at the helm. Tabb, who was an assistant
coach at Trinity for nine years prior to the 2008-09 season, earned
a bachelor's degree in education from the University of Hartford
and his master's degree in sports leadership from Virginia
Commonwealth University. At Hartford, Tabb starred in
basketball for the Hawks and served as captain in his senior
season. Tabb, having attended Somers High School, is one of
the few male players in Connecticut State history to have scored
2,000 points in his high school career. The brother of former
Trinity All-American Colin Tabb'02, Sean Tabb resides in Somers,
Conn.
Zach Zoia joins the Trinity men's basketball
coaching staff after serving as an assistant coach at the
University of Massachusetts-Lowell last winter. Zoia
graduated cum laude with a bachelor's degree in finance from Boston
College, where he was a student assistant for four
years. Zoia also has head coaching experience with the U-17
New Hampshire AAU team, the New Hampshire Playerz and has served as
a correspondent for New England Hoop News. As a senior
at Boston College, Zoia was the recipient of the Mary Kaye Waldron
Award, presented each year to the outstanding member of the Boston
College men's basketball support staff. Zoia was an All-State
basketball player at Bishop Guertin High School in New Hampshire.
