Trinity Golf Wins Hampton Inn Classic Tournament

North Dartmouth, Mass. - Three Trinity College golfers finished in the individual top five to lead the Bantams to a first-place team finish among a field of 14 in the Hampton Inn Golf Classic hosted by the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth at Allendale Country Club this weekend.  Trinity, the No. 20-ranked team in the nation, finished with a team score of 474, topping runner-up Nichols College by 13 strokes. 

Trinity freshman Alex Bermingham (Bedford, N.Y.) tied for second overall individually with a total score of 116, and sophomore Jay Driscoll (Milton, Mass.) and senior Alex MacColl (Centennial, Colo.) tied for fifth individually with identical scores of 118.  Bob Bruso of Worcester State College finished first in the individual standings with a tournament low score of 115.
