Trinity Golf Dips To Second-Place Tie in Duke Nelson Tournament at Middlebury
Middlebury, Vt. - Senior Alex MacColl (Centennial, Colo.) shot a two-round score of 148 to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a second-place tie with the New York University Violets in the 25th annual Duke Nelson Golf Invitational at Middlebury College this weekend. MacColl shot a 71 on Saturday to help Trinity to an eight-stroke lead with a team-low total of 286, and added a 77 this afternoon. The Bantams shot a 320 as a team today to fall to 606 for the tournament, while the Skidmore College Thoroughbreds were consistent with a 294 on Saturday and a 298 today for a two-day total of 593.
