Trinity Golf Finishes Fall With Runaway Victory at Muhlenberg Tourney
Allentown, Pa. - Senior co-captain Reid Longley (Atlanta, Ga.) and sophomore Jay Driscoll (Milton, Mass.) tied for second place overall with two-round scores of 151 to lead the Trinity College Bantams to first place by 16 strokes in the Muhlenberg College Golf Invitational on Sunday and Monday afternoons. Trinity finished with a team score of 611, which was 16 strokes better than second-place Muhlenberg and 19 strokes better than No. 22-ranked Allegheny. The Bantams' fall season is now complete.
Longley shot a 77 on Sunday and a 74 on Monday, pulling him one shot shy of first-place, while Driscoll shot a 72 on Sunday, giving him the lowest one-day score of the invitational. Driscoll shot a 79 on Monday, while Bantam freshman Alex Bermingham (Bedford, N.Y.) tied for fourth-place with identical scores of 76 each day, and junior Josh Grossman (Great Neck, N.Y.) was not far behind in eighth place with a combined score of 157.
