Trinity Golf Sits In Fourth After First Day Of Season-Opening Home Tourney


Hebron, Conn. - Sophomore Alex Bermingham (Bedford, N.Y.) tied for seventh overall with a score of 75 to lead the Trinity College Bantams to fourth place after the first day of the 2009 Trinity College Invitational Golf Tournament this afternoon at Blackledge Country Club. 

Trinity totaled 308 points, which was two shy of third-place Bentley and four ahead of fifth-place Nichols.  Babson sits in first place with a score of 304.  Tomorrow's round will take place at Shuttle Meadow Country Club in Kensington, Conn.  Pat Wilson, of Susquehanna, led all individuals with a 71, while Trinity junior co-captain Jay Driscoll (Milton, Mass.) and senior David Anderson (Wellesley, Mass.) each shot 77 to tie three others for 12th place.
