Trinity Finishes First of Seven Teams in Golf Shoot-Out
Berlin, Conn. - Junior Jay Driscoll (Milton, Mass.) shot a tournament-low 140 (70, 70) to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a first place finish among seven teams in the Trinity Shoot-Out at Shuttle Meadow Country Club this weekend. Trinity finished with a team score of 590 (290, 299) in the two-day tournament, topping runner-up Lafayette College, who came in with a score of 610 (309, 301).
Trinity had five players in the top 10 and three in the top four, including Driscoll, sophomore Alex Bermingham (Bedford, N.Y.), who shot a 147 (74, 73), and senior Reid Longley (Atlanta, Ga.), who placed fourth with a 148 (76, 72).
Freshman Josh Edelson (Farmington, Conn.) shot a 145 (73, 72) to finish second overall and junior Erik Adolffson (Hampton, N.J.) shot a 152 (76, 76) to finish fifth overall, both for Lafayette.
