Trinity Golf Finishes Tied For 11th At NEIGA Championships To Complete Fall Slate

Brewster, Mass. - Senior co-captain Jay Driscoll (Milton, Mass.) and sophomore Dante Amrogio (Wethersfield, Conn.) each shot a two-round score of 155 to tie several others for 38th place and help the Trinity College Bantams tie the Salem State College Vikings for 11th place in the team standings in the New England Intercollegiate Golf Association (NEIGA) Championships yesterday and today on The Captain's Course.  Trinity shot 309 as a squad on Monday but slipped to 315 today to finish two strokes shy of Division II Post at 624.  Sixth-place Husson was the top Division III school at 613 and Rhode Island won the overall team title at 585.  Driscoll was in seventh after day one with a 74 but shot an 81 today, while Ambrogio was consistent with a 77 and a 78.  Bantam junior co-captain Alex Bermingham (Bedford, N.Y.) and freshman John Shilling (New Canaan, Conn.) finished tied with several others in 50th place at 157.
