Rookies Lead Trinity Golf To Fifth At Williams Invitational
Williamstown, Mass. - Freshman Alex Lynch (Greenwich, Conn.) shot a 73 on Saturday and a 79 on Sunday for a two-round score of 152 to lead the Trinity College Bantams to sixth place at the Williams College Golf Invitational this afternoon at Taconic Golf Club. Lynch finished in a tie for 11th place among all individuals. Fellow rookie Nick Buenaventura (Weston, Mass.) placed one shot back in a tie for 13th place for the Bantams, while junior tri-captain Jack Palley (Pelham, Mass.) added a 26th-place score of 156. Trinity finished with a team score of 308 on Saturday and 312 this afternoon for a total of 620, which was four shots behind fourth-place Middlebury and 28 shots behind first-place Salem State.
