Trinity Golf Takes Fifth Place At Duke Nelson Invitational
Middlebury, Vt. – Senior tri-captain Jack Palley (Pelham, Mass.) shot a 74 today and a 153 over two rounds to tie sophomore teammate William Burchill (East Walpole, Mass.) and other for 12th place and lead the Trinity College Bantams to fifth as a team this weekend in the Duke Nelson Golf Invitational on Myhre Golf Course at Middlebury College. Trinity scored 620 as a squad, which was 11 behind first-place Williams, three shy of second-place Skidmore, and nine better than sixth-place Clarkson with a 309 on Saturday and a 311 this afternoon.
Burchill had shot a 36 on the front nine and a 39 on the back on Saturday to card a 75 before finishing with a 78 in today's round. Trinity sophomore Greg Palmer (Cheshire, Conn.) and first-year Jeff Durkin (Scituate, Mass.) each shot 158 for the two days, and sophomore Jack Bandera (Pembroke, Mass.) shot 161.
