Trinity Men's Golf Finishes 34th In NCAA Division III Championship Tournament

Greensboro, N.C. - Senior Kole Kelly (Belmont, Mass.) tied for 65th with a two-round score of 151 (+7), as the Trinity College Bantams did not make the 18-team cut and settled for 34th place in the NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championships this afternoon at Grandover Resort.  Trinity had a team score of 633, which was three shy of 33rd-place Lake Forest and two better than 35th-place Goucher.  Host Guilford College leads the field with two rounds left at 578 (+2).

Kelly had shot even par through 10 holes on Tuesday before play was suspended due to rain, and Trinity sat in a tie for 14th place with Illinois Wesleyan.  Trinity finished the first round this morning with a team score of 312 and shot 321 in the afternoon.  Kelly finished his first round with a 74 and shot 77 today for Trinity's lowest individual score each day.  Trinity junior Will Rosenfield (Baltimore, Md.) tied for 124th with a two-day score of 157, while senior captain Nate Choukas (Hanover, N.H.) finished at 162 and in a tie for 168th place, and junior Taylor Kay-Green (Needham, Mass.) tied for 181st at 164.
