Entering his 18th season at Trinity, Bill Detrick has fielded a
squad capable of finishing among the top teams in New England each
year. The Bantams tied for first place in the NESCAC and won the
Division III title (6th among all divisions) at the New England
Championships in 2006-07. Last season, Trinity topped that by
winning the first annual NESCAC Fall Championship Qualifier and the
ECAC title. All four of these accomplishments were the best
finishes in the history of the Trinity golf program. The 2001 and
the 2006, and 2007 NESCAC Coach of the Year, Detrick has coached no
less than the last three NESCAC Individual Medalists. He assisted
by former Bantam captain Jay Pulaski. Detrick came to Trinity in
1990 after a legendary tenure as head men?s basketball coach at
Central Connecticut State University, where the gymnasium bears his
name. A 1950 graduate of Central Connecticut, where he earned a
bachelor?s degree in business education, Detrick also has a
master?s degree in guidance from New York University.
