Trinity Men's Lacrosse Does Do-It-Day

Last weekend, members of the Trinity Men's Lacrosse team participated in Trinity College's 11th annual Do It Day. This is an opportunity for first-year students, upper-class students, and members of the faculty and staff to volunteer on a variety of community improvement projects at on- and off-campus sites throughout the city of Hartford.
Head Coach Jim Finlay says he feels that the fall is a great time to join with the other members of the Trinity community in service.
"We as a team have set high standards for ourselves in and out
of season," Finlay said. "I set a goal for team this year to
do more community service in the fall. Just a few hours of help can
make a big difference in the community."
Coach Finlay and the team participated at five separate sites in
the capital city. They helped the Hartford Marathon Foundation,
Knox Parks Foundation, Northside Institutions Neighborhood
Alliance, the Park River Watershed revitalization initiative, and
the St. Agnes Home. The team did different activities at the
different sites. Some of the things the team was involved in were
the clean up of parks, removing of graffiti, planting flowers and
vegetation, stuffing envelopes and gift bags and organizing an
auction.
