Trinity Men's Lacrosse Loses At Tufts In NCAA Second Round
Medford, Mass. - Nine players scored goals, including four by senior co-captain Sean Kirwan (Boonton Township, N.J.), as the Tufts University men's lacrosse team opened 2012 NCAA Championship play with a 17-8 second-round victory against the visiting Trinity College Bantams this afternoon at Bello Field. The Jumbos (17-2) advance to the National Quarterfinals on Wednesday, May 16 and will host RIT, a 15-9 winner over Western New England in the NCAA Second Round today.

Hartford, Conn. - The Trinity College men's lacrosse team earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament, qualifying for the field for the first time in program's history. The Bantams will open the tournament at home on Wednesday, May 9 at 4:30 p.m. against the Eastern Connecticut State University Warriors. Trinity, ranked No. 17 in the nation, is 10-6 this spring, while the Warriors are 12-5 after downing Keene State, 13-10, to take the Little East title on Saturday .

Medford, Mass. - The Bowdoin College men's lacrosse team advanced to the New England Small Colleeg Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Finals with a 10-8 victory against the Trinity College Bantams in the conference semi-finals this afternoon at Tufts University's Bello Field. Trinity falls to 10-6 and will hope for an at-large berth into the NCAA Tournament. The No. 17-ranked Bantams were led on Saturday by four goals and an assist from junior attackman Rob Nogueras (Parkland, Fla.).

Trinity, ranked No. 20 in the nation, advances to its second straight NESCAC Semifinals while improving to 10-5 with its second win in a row and taking revenge on the Continentals which had beaten Trinity, 9-7, last weekend in New York.
