Hartford, Conn. - Trinity College Men's Lacrosse Assistant Coach Brian Praetorius is leaving the program to accept the head coaching job at Bard College in the Liberty League. Praetorius joins the Raptors after serving as the recruiting coordinator and offensive coordinator for the Bantams for the last seven seasons.
During his time in Hartford, Praetorius helped guide five United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) All-Americans and six All-New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) selections, as Trinity made its first NESCAC tournament semifinal appearance in 2011 and its first NCAA Tournament appearance in 2013.
Praetorius played collegiately at Western New England University where he was an offensive midfielder for the Golden Bears. During his time there, the program flourished, winning the ECAC Tournament in 2005, the Pilgrim League in 2007, and the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) in 2008. Praetorius, who will be returning to New York after growing up in nearby Saugerties, earned his masters degree from Trinity after earning his bachelors at Western New England.
