Trinity Men's Rowing Finishes Second In Eights Event At Head Of The Charles
Cambridge, Mass. - The Trinity College men's rowing collegiate eights entry finished second in its event at the Head of the Charles Regatta this afternoon. Trinity's boat, including senior coxswain Felipe Luisi (Bethesda, Md.), seniors Nate Kelly (New Canaan, Conn.), Hugh McKeegan (Pittsburgh, Pa.), senior tri-captain Hal Ebbott (Brookline, Mass.), Colin Touhey (Brooklyn, N.Y.), Joe Malarney (Andover, Mass.), and Peter Smith (Atlanta, Ga.), junior Will Kelly (New Canaan, Conn.), and sophomore Vincent McLaughlin (Cherry Hill, N.J.) finished just under 1.5 seconds behind first-place Williams.
The Bantam fours+ entry finished 10th in its event on Saturday. The athletes in the men's four were senior coxswain Elyssa Michael (Concord, Mass.), senior Nick Drexel (New York, N.Y.), juniors Robert Biddle (Bryn Mawr, Pa.) and Red Sammons (Cambridge, Mass.), and sophomore Michael Phillips (Stow, Mass.).
In addition, Thomas Graves '05 and Peter Graves '07, rowing for Team USA, won the Championship Double Sculls, topping a group of World and Olympic medalists, including the World Champion German pair.
