Trinity Men's Rowing Collects Ninth Team Points Title In A Row At New England Regatta
Worcester, Mass. - The Trinity College Bantams took home the men's points trophy with first-place performances by its second- and third-varsity eight boats in the New England Rowing Championship Regatta this afternoon on Lake Quinsigamond. Trinity totaled 98 points to edge Williams by six points and collect its ninth consecutive team points title.
Trinity's third varsity won a four-boat race with a time of 6:28.36, which was nearly four seconds faster than second-place Wesleyan. In the second-varsity eight grand final, Trinity dusted second-place Worcester Tech by over five seconds with an official time of 6:18.56. The Bantams added second-place finishes in the grand final races in varsity eights and novice eights, both teams losing to Williams.
