Trinity Men's Rowing Varsity Eight Finishes Second In Petit Final at NIRC Regatta

Worcester, Mass. - The Trinity College men's four finished fourth in the grand final at the National Invitational Rowing Championship (NIRC) Regatta this afternoon on Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester while the varsity eight turned in a second place performance in the petit final. Trinity's second varsity eight also finished fourth in the grand final as the Bantams closed the 2017-18 season.  Trinity scored 115 points to claim ninth place in the Overall Points Trophy Standings and 190 points to claim 10th outright in the Combined Overall Points Trophy Standings.

The Bantam four finished with a time of 7:11.362 in the grand final, just over three seconds behind Boston College's third place crew.  Trinity's second varsity eight turned in a grand final time of 5:59.463, just behind Boston College's third-place time of 5:48.023. The Bantam varsity eight had a strong showing in the petit finals with a time of 6:00.514, just two seconds off the first place time of Tufts.
