    Trinity Fall Student-Athletes Earn NESCAC All-Academic Honors Hartford, Conn. – The Trinity College fall athletic teams placed 45 student-athletes on the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) 2016 Fall All-Academic Team, as announced by the league on Wednesday. To be honored, an individual must have reached sophomore academic standing and be in good standing on their team with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.40. A transfer student must have completed one year of study at the institution.

    Eight Trinity Fall Athletes Named to All-Sportsmanship Team Hartford, Conn. - Eight Trinity College fall athletes were named to the 2016 New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) All-Sportsmanship Team for their positive contributions to sportsmanship. Golf sophomore Jack Junge (Lincolnshire, Ill.) earned his first appearance on the team after earning All-NESCAC First Team honors earlier this fall, and was joined by men's cross country junior Kyle Larsson (Franklin Lakes, N.J.), women's cross country senior captain Sophie Long (Darien, Conn.), field hockey senior tri-captain Sydney Doolittle (Milford, Conn.), men's soccer senior captain Oliver Murphy (Montclair, N.J.), women's soccer junior Jillian Ramsay (Glastonbury, Conn.), football senior Patrick Dorsey (Lynn, Mass.), and volleyball senior tri-captain Rachel Huges (Boxborough, Mass.).

    Men's Soccer Captain Tobias Gimand Becomes Leader Through Journey in Life and Soccer By the time Tobias Gimand could use a baby walker, he was kicking a soccer ball around the house. His brother, 3 years older than Tobias, played soccer so he was exposed to the game from a young age. Gimand lived just outside of Copenhagen, Denmark until he was 6 years old when he then moved to Connecticut. Despite only living in Denmark for a few years, Gimand has fond memories of his time there.

    Men's Soccer Downs Eastern Connecticut State, 1-0 Willimantic, Conn. - Sophomore Sam Hoffman (Greenwich, Conn.) scored on a header in the 18th minute which proved to be the difference as the Trinity College men's soccer team clipped the Eastern Connecticut State Warriors, 1-0, on Wednesday afternoon in Willimantic. This is the fifth straight year the Bantams have defeated the Warriors as Trinity improves to 7-5-2 overall while the Warriors fall to 5-8-1 on the year. Trinity is 5-1-2 in its last eight games.
