Trinity Men's Soccer Shuts out Springfield

Springfield, Mass. - A goal by junior back Austin Lan (Chatham, N.J.) in the 37th minute proved to be the only scoring in the contest as the No. 15-ranked Trinity College Bantam men's soccer team won at the Springfield College Pride, 1-0, on a rainy, windy, and cold afternoon on Brock-Affleck Field.





Men's soccer is one of the oldest athletic programs at Trinity. Our athletes have competed at the varsity level since 1936, and the program has developed into one of the strongest in the nation. Under Head Coach Michael Pilger, a former National Coach of the Year, the team is a perennial contender for the post-season. Pilger, the 2007 NESCAC Coach of the Year, led his team to the league championship tournament in 2007 and 2008.
