Trinity Men's Squash Alum Records History-Making Win For Home Country Of Jamaica

Hartford, Conn. - Former Trinity College men's squash star Chris Binnie'12, who exhausted his eligibility in 2011 and graduated in January after completing his coursework and competing for the Bantam soccer squad last fall, became the first Jamiacan to win a Preofessional Squash Association (PSA) World Tour title with his victory in the inaugural British Virgin Islands Open. 

Binnie, who represented his home country of Jamaica in the 16th Pan American Games last October in Guadalajara, Mexico, had reached the finals of the 2011 Caribbean Area Squash Association (CASA) Championship Tournament in Grand Cayman.  He begins his first year as a graduate assistant coach for Trinity's men's soccer and men's squash teams this fall.
