Trinity Men's Squash Announces Schedule for 2012-13 Campaign
Hartford, Conn. - The Trinity College Bantam men's squash team, finished the 2011-12 season with an 18-2 record, captured its sixth consecutive New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Championship title, and gained its 16th straight appearance in the College Squash Association (CSA) National Finals before suffering a 5-4 defeat on the road at Princeton to end the year, has announced its schedule for the 2012-13 campaign. The Bantams, coached by Paul Assaiante (19th Season), finished last year ranked No. 2 in the CSA National Rankings.
Trinity will open the year at home against state and league rival Connecticut College on Friday, November 30 at 5 p.m., followed by two matches the next day at Williams against the Ephs and Drexel and two more matches the day after that against George Washington and Colby back in Hartford. After a 41-day layoff, Trinity opens 2013 at Dartmouth on January 15, and hosts Yale, which ended the Bantams' intercollegiate-varsity-sports record 252-match winning streak last winter, on January 23 at 6 p.m. Other noteworthy dual-match dates include a January 26 match at Rochester at 1 p.m., an 11 a.m. matcha t Cornell the next day, a February 12 match at Harvard, and a February 16 re-match agt Princeton.
The Bantams will host the NESCAC Championship Tournament once again on February 1 to 3, and Trinity will also be the host site for the 2012-13 CSA National Singles Championships to close the year on March 1 to 3.
