No. 2-Ranked Men's Squash Sinks St. Lawrence

Hartford, Conn. - The No. 2-ranked Trinity College men's squash team cruised to an 8-1 victory over the No. 5-ranked St. Lawrence Saints on Saturday afternoon at the Kellner Squash Courts on Trinity's campus. The Bantams finish the regular season with a 16-1 overall record and cap off the week, 2-0, after their 5-4 victory at top-ranked Harvard on Wednesday. Trinity now has its eyes set on the College Squash Association (CSA) National Team Championships which begin next Friday, at Harvard.

Junior captain Rick Penders (Maastricht, Netherlands) clinched the match with a 3-1 victory at the No. 2 spot which gave Trinity a 5-0 lead. Sophomore Michael Craig (Belfast, Northern Ireland) cruised at the No. 4 spot, yielding just 15 total points to his opponent, while junior James Evans (Maidstone, England) remained perfect in his Bantam career with a 3-0 sweep at No. 8. Sophomore Thoboki Mohohlo (Hartford, Conn.) battled to a 3-2 win at the No. 3 spot in the lineup after going down, 2-0, to start the match, giving Trinity the early 3-0 advantage after the first wave.
