Trinity's Bloom Earns NESCAC All-Academic Honors For Men's Swimming and Diving

Hartford, Conn. - Trinity College men's swimming and diving senior Stephen Bloom (Darien, Conn.) was selected to the 2009 New England Small College Athletic Conference Winter All-Academic Team, while the Bantams were honored as a College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-American Team for earning a team g.p.a. of 3.0 or better for the 2009 spring semester.
The Bantams, also coached by Kristen Noone (9th Season), finished with their best dual-meet record since 1995 at 7-3 and came in 11th place in the NESCAC Championship Meet. Bloom posted the Trinity men's top time of the 2008-09 season in the 50-yard butterfly (24.84, 8th best all-time at Trinity). An alum of Darien High School, Bloom graduated from Trinity in May with a degree in chemistry. He is the son of Kathy and Larry Bloom.
