Eramo Leads Trinity Men To Win Over Bates In Season-Opening Tri-Meet
Hartford, Conn. - Freshman Adam Eramo (Rowley, Mass.) won the 500- and 1,000-yard freestyle events with respective times of 5:05.34 and 10:31.40 to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 152-142 win over the visiting Bates College Bobcats in a season-opening, men's swimming and diving meet this afternoon. Trinity, which also lost to the Wesleyan Cardinals, 194-106, is 1-1, while Bates drops to 0-2 with a 198-86 loss to the 2-0 Cardinals. Sophomore Andrew Boynton (Northampton, Mass.) came in second place in the 50-yard butterfly, the 50-yard backstroke, and the 100-yard backstroke, while sophomore Dan Remigino (Wethersfield, Conn.) won the 50-yard breaststroke for the Bantams.
