Trinity Men's Swimming And Diving Wins At Vassar To Open Spring Semester

Poughkeepsie, N.Y. - Sophomore Andrew Boynton (Northampton, Mass.) won both backstroke races and the 200-yard butterfly to lead the visiting Trinity College Bantams to 166-129 win over the Vassar College Brewers in men's swimming and diving action this afternoon. Trinity improves to 2-1, while the Brewers fall to 1-3. Both teams were competing in their first dual meets since November 22.
Boynton recorded times of 56.73 in the 100-yard backstroke, 2:04.77 in the 200-yard back, and 55.71 in the 200-yard butterfly. He won the 200-yard back by over six seconds. Bantam sophomore C.J. Murdoch (Gladwyne, Pa.) won the 100-yard freestyle at 50.74 and the 200-yard free by 0.04 seconds at 1:51.89, while freshman Adam Eramo (Rowley, Mass.) took first in the 1,000-yard free by over 50 seconds at 10:25.79 and won the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:59.20.
