Boynton Leads Trinity Men's Swimming And Diving To Win Against Vassar

Hartford, Conn. - Junior co-captain Andrew Boytnon (Northampton, Mass.) won both backstroke events and a butterfly race to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 160-132 win over the visiting Vassar College Brewers in men's swimming and diving action this afternoon at Trinity Natatorium. Trinity improves to 1-2 with the win in its home opener, while the Brewers fall to 2-3.
Boynton won the 100-yard backstroke in 57.32, the 200-yard back in 2:04.57, and the 100-yard butterfly in 56.30. Trinity sophomore Adam Eramo (Rowley, Mass.) and freshman Adrian Shea (Bloomington, Ind.) won two events apiece, while junior co-captain Ayaas Bhamla (Weston, Mass.) posted one first-place finish and teamed with Boynton and two others to help the Bantams win the 200-yard freestyle relay at 1:34.40.
