Trinity Men's Swimming and Diving Loses Opener At Bates
Lewiston, Maine - The visiting Trinity College Bantam men's swimming and diving team dropped a 184-102 decision against the Bates College Bobcats in the men's swimming and diving season opener for both teams this afternoon. Wesleyan also competed against Bates, although the Cardinals and the Bantams did not score the meet against one another.
Sophomore Adam Eramo (Rowley, Mass.) placed second in the 100-yard freestyle event (10:37.94) and third in the 500-yard freestyle (5:06.07), while junior co-captain Andrew Boynton (Northampton, Mass.) finished fourth in 100-yard backstroke (57.86), and third in both the 200-yard backstroke (2:04.03), and in the 100-yard butterfly (56.31) for the Bantams. Trinity sophomore Alex Latka (Longmeadow, Mass.) took third in the 100-yard breaststroke (105.04), fourth in the 200-yard IM (2:09.35) and second in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:24.40).
