Roger Williams Men’s Swimming and Diving Team Defeats Trinity
Hartford, Conn. - The men's 800-yd. freestyle relay team broke a pool record, however Roger Williams was able to pull out a 181-115 victory this afternoon in men's swimming and diving action.
The 800-yd. freestyle relay team consisted of sophomore C.J. Murdoch (Gladwyne, Penn.), junior Andrew Boynton (Northampton, Mass.), senior Ayaas Bhamla (Weston, Mass.) and sophomore Adam Eramo (Rowley, Mass.), which finished with a time of 7:27.66.
In the individual events, Eramo placed first in the 1000-yd. freestyle (10:20.38) and in the 500-yd. freestyle (5:06.19), and Boynton finished first in the 50-yd. butterfly (24.87).
The men's swimming and diving team travels to Williams for the men's NESCAC Championships starting at 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 26, through Sun., Feb. 28.
