Trinity Men's Tennis Fares Well in Singles and Doubles at ITA Regionals
Hartford, Conn. - Junior Spencer Feldman (Upper Brookville, N.Y.) won his first three matches and senior co-captains Gautam Samarth (Pune, India) and David Yahng (Hong Kong) earned victories in their first three doubles matches, as the Trinity College Bantams competed in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) New England Division III Regional Championships at Williams College this weekend.
Both Feldman and the doubles team of Bantam captains lost in the semifinals of their respective tournaments today. Feldman fell, 7-6, (3), 6-3, while Samarth/Yahng was beaten, 8-0, in its semifinal match. Yahng also won a pair of singles matches to reach the quarterfinals of that tournament before falling, 6-3, 6-3, to the tourney's eventual champion.
