Feldman and McCook Reach Middlebury Men's Tennis Invitational Doubles Final


Middlebury, Vt. - Senior tri-captain Spencer Feldman (Upper Brookville, N.Y.) and sophomore Anson McCook (Miami, Fla.) played their way into the "A" doubles flight finals, but lost, 9-7, against Amrit Rupasinge and Matt Bettles, of Bates, in the Middlebury College Men's Tennis Invitational this afternoon.  Feldman/McCook won against Andrew Thomson and Andrew Lee, of Middlebury, 8-4, earlier today in the semifinals.  Feldman and McCook had each advanced to the "A" flight semifinals doubles semis on Saturday, but both lost their singles semifinal matches today.

Feldman had won, 6-4, 6-1 over Luke Granger, of Skidmore, in the first round and downed Rupasinge, 6-4, 6-3 in the quarterfinals on Saturday.  McCook had won 6-2, 6-2, over Andrew Guziek, of Vassar, in a play-in match on Friday and, 5-7, 6-2 (10-6) over Bettles in the first round Saturday.  He downed Lee, of Middlebury in another close contest, 6-1, 1-6 (10-7) in the quarterfinals.  Feldman/McCook had won, 8-3, against a pair from Bates and, 8-4, against a pair from Ithaca to reach the doubles semifinals.
