Trinity Men's Tennis Edged By Skidmore In First Dual Match

Hartford, Conn. - The Trinity College Bantams suffered a heartbreaking, 5-4 loss to the visiting Skidmore College Thoroughbreds in men's tennis action this afternoon at the Assaiante Center.  Trinity falls to 0-1, while Skidmore improves to 1-0.

Trinity senior Jugal Marfatia (Surat, India) and sophomore Ilya Levin (Wellesley, Mass.) each won in singles and doubles for Trinity.  Marfatia took the No. 5 singles match in straight sets and, Levin pulled out the first set at No. 3 singles, 7-6, and dominated the second set with a 6-0 triumph.  Trinity led, 2-1, after doubles but Skidmore won three singles matches in the third set including two third sets by 7-5 scores.
