Men's Tennis Edged by Whitter, 5-4

Whittier, Calif. -The Trinity College men's tennis team fell to Whittier College, 5-4, on Tuesday at the Richard Ettinger Tennis Courts in Whittier, California, in its second one-point loss in as many days to start the spring season. Trinity falls to 1-2 overall while Whittier improves to 4-6 on the year. Whittier took a 2-1 lead after doubles play as Trinity junior Kyle Scheffers (Flossmoor, Ill.) and senior tri-captain Jagger Riefler (Wimbledon, England) won the lone doubles match for the Bantams. Scheffers added a win in singles action by scores of 6-3, 3-6 and 6-3 while classmate junior Rex Glickman (Chappaqua, N.Y.) won at No. 2. Sophomore Chris Caskin (Potomac, Md.) won at No. 6 for the Bantams but Whittier clinched the overall match at No. 5. Trinity returns to action tomorrow against Chapman in Anaheim, California.
