Trinity Men's Tennis Doubles Up Chapman

Anaheim, Calif. - Senior tri-captain Jagger Riefler (Wimbledon, England) and junior Kyle Scheffers (Flossmoor, Ill.) won as a doubles pair in straight sets in singles to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 6-3 victory over the Chapman University Panthers in men's tennis action this evening at Anaheim Tennis Center.  Trinity improves to 2-2, while the Panthers drop to 1-7.  The Bantams open New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) action against top-ranked Bowdoin tomorrow at noon EST in Claremont, Calif.

Trinity led, 2-1, after doubles play, as Riefler/Scheffers won, 8-6, at the No. 2 spot and the Bantam tandem of junior Rex Glickman (Chappaque, N.Y.) and first-year Courtland Boyle (Pembroke, Mass.) won by the same score at third doubles.  Trinity took four of six singles matches, all in straight sets with victories turned in by Glickman, senior tri-captain William Boyd (Hillsborough, Calif.), Scheffers, and Riefler at the second thru fifth places in the lineup.
