Trinity Men's Tennis Has Strong Showing at Connecticut College Invitational

New London, Conn. - Senior co-captain Rex Glickman (Chappaqua, N.Y.) and sophomore Courtland Boyle (Pembroke, Mass.) went 2-0 in doubles play to win their flight, as did rookie duo Christopher Bilicic (Chicago, Ill.) and Granville Kaynor (New Orleans, La.), as the Trinity College men's tennis team competed at the Connecticut College Invitational over the weekend in New London. Glickman and Boyle knocked off the Nichols top doubles team, 8-6, before grinding out a 9-8 victory over the hosts duo to win the flight. Bilicic and Kaynor cruised past Connecticut College's pair, 8-3, before winning by the same score against a doubles tandem from Coast Guard. The two were the only Bantam duos to go undefeated over the weekend, however all four of Trinity's doubles teams won at least one match.

In singles action, Glickman kept things rolling with a 6-4, 6-1 victory over his opponent from Nichols. Caskin also picked up a win in singles play, defeating his opponent from Connecticut College, 6-3, 6-2. Kaynor won his singles flight with wins over counterparts from Coast Guard and Nichols while Bilicic also came away atop his flight with a 2-0 record. First-year Tanner Boyle (Pembroke, Mass.) also went 2-0 to win his flight with a 6-1, 7-5 win over his Camel opponent, and a 9-8 victory against his opponent from Coast Guard.
