Trinity Men's Indoor Track And Field Opens Season at Yale Invitational
New Haven, Conn. - Junior Sam Pegram finished third in the long jump with a distance of 6.70 meters and freshman Wilson McGrail placed third in the 1,000 meters at 2:38, as the Trinity College Bantams opened the 2008-09 men's indoor track and field season in the Lidlifter Invitational at Yale University this afternoon.
Brendan Powers placed fifth in the 1-mile run, finishing with a time of 4:25.44, to lead the Bantams in the event, and Ricky Lynn placed 6th in the 400-meter dash with a time of 52.08.
The Bantams will compete in the Wesleyan Invitational II after a break until Saturday, January 17.
