Trinity Men's Track And Field Sweeps 1,000 Meters At Wesleyan Invitational


Middletown, Conn. - Sophomore Brendan Powers (Middleton, Mass) was first in a 1-2-3 sweep of the 1,000-meter run for the Trinity College Bantam men's indoor track and field team at the Wesleyan University Invitational this afternoon at bacon Field House. 

Powers finished with a time of 2:36.18, immediately followed by freshman Matt Eremita (South Windsor, Conn.) at 2:37.13, and fellow rookie Wilson McGrail (Wayland, Mass.) at 2:39.39.  Bantam freshman Michael Burnstein (Brookline, Mass.) added a first-place finish in the 3,000 meters with a time of 8:56.12, and Bantam sophomore shot putter Michael Goulet (Glastonbury, Conn.) won the event with a toss of 45'06.25".
