Trinity Men's Track Finishes 10th In ECAC Championship Meet
Medford, Mass. - The Trinity College Bantam 4x800-meter relay foursome finished third with a time of 7:57.21, as the men's indoor track and field team finished 10th in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Championships at Tufts University's Gantcher Center this afternoon.
Senior tri-captain Hunter Norte (Ellington.), junior Matt Dennis, sophomore Ricky Lynn (Philadelphia, Pa.), and freshman Wilson MacGrail (Wayland, Mass.) combined to finish 1.88 seconds shy of the first-place time. All four earn All-ECAC honors for their fine performance.
Freshman Michael Burnstein (Brookline, Mass.) came in third place in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 8:40.28, while junior Sam Pegram (Hingham, Mass.) placed fourth in the long jump at 21'09.50", and senior Sam Moorhead (Dedham, Mass.) finished fifth in the 800-meter run at 1:54.92. All seven Bantam runners earn All-ECAC honors for their fine performances.
On the first day of the meet on Friday, the Trinity distance medley relay foursome finished third with a time of 10:03.76. Moorhead, junior tri-captain Alex Baillargeon (Westbrook, Maine), sophomore Brendan Powers (Middleton, Mass.), and freshman Dan Scully combined to finish 13.3 seconds shy of the first-place time. They also earn All-ECAC honors for their fine performance.
